Privacy Policy

SnowWall collects nothing. It has no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts, and makes no network requests of its own. Everything it knows about you stays on your Mac.

This is a short policy because there is little to describe. What follows is a plain account of what the app stores, what it does not, and the one place data leaves your machine.

What SnowWall stores on your Mac

• Your settings. The effect you chose, its colour, size, speed, quality and the rest, kept in the app's own preferences.
• What has settled on screen. Snow that has piled up is saved so it is still there when you reopen the app, and fades with time.
• Nothing about your purchase. Whether you have SnowWall Pro is asked of the App Store each time it matters; the app keeps no record of its own.

All of it lives in your user account on your Mac. None of it is sent anywhere, and none of it is readable by us. Deleting the app removes it.

What SnowWall does not do

• No analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry of any kind.
• No crash or diagnostic reporting.
• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No account, sign-in, or email collection.
• No third-party services embedded in the app.

Permissions SnowWall does not ask for

SnowWall requests no system permissions at all. It does not use screen recording, accessibility, location, the camera, the microphone, contacts, calendars, photos, or files outside its own container. If macOS ever asks you to grant SnowWall one of these, something is wrong and you should not grant it.

The app draws over your desktop, and it does that without reading what is behind it.

Purchases

SnowWall Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Payment, billing and receipts are Apple's; the app is told only whether the purchase is valid. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

SnowWall is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data whatsoever, it collects none from children either.

Changes to this policy

If SnowWall ever starts collecting anything (it has no plans to), this page will say so before that version ships, and the date above will change. A policy that quietly grows new paragraphs is not worth reading, so any change here will be a real one.
